Trip to Orlando

Race Cars
Peej hiding in the Suitcase
Spring Training & a Lollipop
Fuddruckers in front of the Famous Machine
Peej in the car with a diaper on his head reading his Big Brother book

Donny, Peej, Brooke, Peter and I took a GREAT trip to Orlando this past weekend! Peter is an agent for professional baseball players. Two of his players were in Orlando for Spring Training with the Braves. So, Brooke, Peej, Donny and I joined Peter in this great city!

We arrived on Friday and went to the pool and enjoyed the Floridays Resort. Brooke and Peter took Boone to dinner on Friday night while Donny, Peej and I headed to the famous Fuddruckers!
Peej and I had our picture made in front of the infamous Animal Machine! We walked around the shopping center afterwards and Peej fell in love with the John Deere store!

Saturday we went to the Braves vs Mets Spring Training Game! Josh Anderson, Peter's client hit a homer in the 8th inning! Woo Hoo!
We sat in the outfield with about 20,000 others who were on blankets! It was really a lot of fun!
That evening we ate dinner with Josh and his beautiful wife , Heather. They are both just as nice as any one could possibly be. They are expecting their first baby, Easton, in August!

The next day we headed to DISNEY WORLD! It was even better than last year. Peej and I rode the race cars, we all went to see Mickey, we all rode the Pooh ride, the Merry Go Round, etc.
Next, we headed to Animal Kingdom where we rode dinosaur airplanes, we saw the Nemo play, and rode the wonderful Safari Bus and saw giraffes, lions, hippo's and many other exciting things!

We had a wonderful time! Peej entertained us with "Take me out to the Ballgame", and his many, many cute phrases! He speaks VERY CLEARLY and says everything a 2 1/2 year old can possibly say! I love him SOOOO much!

How to Entertain a Two Year Old During a Wedding

Sweet Ashley Gundy, my great niece, enjoyed sitting in her Aunt Lynn's lap during her Uncle Kyle's wedding. Lynn and I entertained her with blush and eye shadow brushes from our purses.
When the novelty wore off from the blush brushes, we pulled out the eyelash curler, and put both of our watches on her arms! She was perfect! At one point she did whisper
( a little loudly) that she wanted to go and sit with Nabi, her grandmother. Aunt Lynn explained that there was nowhere to sit beside Nabi and she seemed to accept that fact pretty well. Daddy Dale soon came and took her to the back to walk around!
What a little princess!

Kyle's Wedding

You know what feeling old is like? When your sweet nephew who is the baby of his family gets married.

I remember Kyle BEFORE his birth. We went to "help" his mom, Donna, who had been placed on bed rest for a month before his birth.
At the time, Donna had a 9 year old, Tracy, and a 7 year old, Dave.
They were living in Richmond, Virginia in August of 1985! We stayed for a few days, celebrated Dave's birthday, cooked a few meals and had to get back to Dallas, where we were living at the time.

Just a few weeks after we left, Baby Kyle was born, From the very beginning he was sweet, accomodating and well loved by all!

Nothing could have thrilled us more than Kyle, Tracy and Dave moving to Dallas in 1988! Cousins in the same city! We could see them all the time!

Kyle, David and Leah always enjoyed playing together and they were big buddies and got along very well! They spent a lot of time together until we had to move to Austin! Boo Hoo! Only 2 years of cousins in the same city before we had to go and spoil it all!

Even after we moved, we managed to spend a couple of weeks with Kyle in the summers and see him at all of the holidays. Most of the time David, Leah and Kyle were with each other 24/7 during holiday weekends until Leah grew up and was no longer "one of the boys." Then it was just Kyle and David.....cousins and friends!

Through the years there were trips to San Antonio, Dallas, Austin, ball games, playing, hanging out, emails, phone calls, etc.

Now Kyle has started a new, exciting and wonderful phase of his life with his beautiful wife, Amber. We will always cherish the memories and look forward to the future memories that we can make with Kyle, Amber and their family.

Brooke's Blog...What do you think?

Brooke doesn't even know that I am writing this which could get me into Big Trouble...BUT, I think that she should start blogging. There are too many cute Peej stories that I miss that she could write about.

He is such an interesting little person and he does and says so many funny things!

Just yesterday I was talking with her on the phone and he moved his plate from his little table to be at the big table with her. He insisted that they BOTH have drinks, and he was quite adamant that his fork "BREAKED" and he needed a new one. Brooke tried to tell him that it wasn't broken, but evidently his idea of "breaked" and her idea of "breaked" are not the same.
Guess who got a new fork?

With a two 1/2 year old you just have to let some things go!

Snow in Birmingham in March

The first picture was taken about 1:00 in the afternoon when the sun decided to come out and ruin everything!! The last 2 pictures were taken around 6:30 am when we woke up to a rare winter wonderland!
It is now about 4:00 and there are a few remnants of snow but not many! Well, it was fun while it lasted!
