Honey Misses Henry

These pictures say it all. What a beautiful, sweet baby! I miss him so much but I get to see him
in 2 1/2 weeks! Whenever I talk to Leah on the phone he is just cooing and talking like crazy in the background. Usually talking to his "toys"......so precious!
The picture of him asleep in the car seat is on the way to Michael and Brittany's wedding! Michael is Matt's brother. So Mommy and Daddy got him all dressed in his little mini tux to attend the wedding! From what I hear, he enjoyed himself very much!

Fun Weekend for Honey, Donny and the Boys

Brooke and Peter took a trip to NYC for a long weekend so Donny and Honey babysat for Peej and Benny. We all had a great time mostly staying at home and playing,watching movies,etc. It rained Friday afternoon and most of the day Saturday so it was great to be inside playing army men, football men, tackle, Batman, David and Goliath, hide and seek, etc.

When Peter and Peej picked us up from the airport Peej said, "I can do amazing things." He also asked me on Saturday, "Honey, are you sad that I'm not 2 and precious anymore?"

I, of course, answered," Peej, you will always be precious to me. Uncle David is 24 and he is still precious to me."

Peej said, "Oh." (PROFOUND)

He asked Donny, "Why did Jesus have to die?"
Before Donny could answer Peej said, " Was it for our salvation?"
Donny said, " Do you know what salvation is, Peej?"
Peej said, " It means he saved us."
Very good, Peej!

Another question asked to Donny.....
"Why do we have feet?"
"Why do we have hands?"

Donny thought of some pretty good answers off the top of his head...... The WHY stage is sooooo
Cute, Challenging, and full of unexpected questions!

When we played Army Men it was rather amazing that all of Peej's Army men stayed alive but ALL of Honey's and Donny's Army men died. Even though we had twice as many men in our Army, neither of us could stand up to Peej's resilient Army!!

Benny was soooooo funny. He plays his own game with us....He catches our attention then he crawls really fast and turns around like lightning and just laughs! That means that we need to chase him. He loves to be chased around the couch and especially up the stairs! He also loves peek a boo!

It is so hilarious when he grins and laughs with his snaggle toothed grin. He has two bottom teeth and two teeth on either side of the middle on top that are all the way in. His two top teeth are peeking out but not quite down yet. His smile is so cute and funny!!!

Love those boys soooooooo much!!!!!

Benny is such a joy! He smiles, crawls about 90 mph, loves to play games,
loves to tackle, watch people, play with the shutters and just loves being with people!
He "talks" and knows exactly what he is saying!

Peej is so much fun! He reminds me of his Uncle David in that
whenever he is acting something out he wants to be in full costume!
His imagination is "over the top!"

We had to get a picture of Peej in front of the famous
Fuddrucker's toy machine!
I noticed that the door is fixed so that it only opens slightly so that
young curious people can't climb in!

Sweet boys! Benny has food in his mouth, oh, well!

Weekend with the Grandboys

After watching HOME ALONE, Peej acted out the movie by throwing ice on the patio

The Boot

The day before we left to go to Houston, Donny broke his foot! The Doctor told him it was
fine for him to go as long as he took it easy! Peej and Benny were very curious about his Boot.

The Destroyer

One of the things that Honey, Donny and Peej played this
weekend was building forts for Peej's Army Men Here we see a beautiful tower

Now we see Benny, who we nicknamed "The Destroyer"
He saw our structures, crawled over and proceeded to "attack and destroy"
He always had a smile, though, so it was kinda hard to be mad at him!

Toilet Paper is so much fun!

The pictures say it all. He cried when Honey moved the toilet paper up to the window
out of reach so Honey let him rip a small piece off the roll and play with it for a few minutes!

Peej

I don't know if it's luck or what but I've had about 3 phone calls with Peej recently when he just talks and talks. Evidently he carries the phone with him all through the house while we have long conversations.
He always says, "Hi Honey." He says it like..."Hahnee"...MELTS MY HEART.

We have discussed the Auburn quarterback situation twice. He reminds me that Chris Todd graduated and we discuss other Auburn players who also graduated with Chris Todd.
He asks about the contenders for quarterback, what their names are,etc.

Oh, and when we visited last time he came to the airport dressed in khaki's, polo shirt, and a belt!
When I commented on how dressed up he was, I learned that he was attending graduation!!

We have also discussed his finger accident. He was at Target buying a birthday present for Abigail who LIVES at his school, when he smashed his finger. He eventually lost his pinkie fingernail.


He tells me that he is going to Chicago with Daddy to see a Cubs game.

He tee tees while we are talking and I hear him flush!

He tells me about his mentors Turner, Drew, and Mark Murdock and their baseball games.

We talk about the movies that he is currently watching. He usually picks one movie and watches it a million times until everyone is sick of them. One of his favorites was Rookie of the Year.
The star of the show just happened to be named Henry..."but not Henry Gibson."


BUT, the very best part of all is when we have to hang up....and I have had to be the one to hang up 2 or 3 times, he says in his sweet little deep voice, "I LOVE YOU, HONEY." Love that boy!!

Honey's Boys

Benny loves to swing. The higher and faster he goes,
the more he loves it!
We can see the baseball game going on behind us!

Fun in Houston

The weather in Houston was absolutely perfect....
It was warm and breezy
Sooo we decided to have a picnic in Brooke and Peter's front yard!

Peej loved baby Henry. He kissed him several times.

Benny thought it would be fun to pull Henry's blanket out from under him

while he was having "Tummy Time"
