Henry Webb Gibson

Introducing the long awaited Henry Webb Gibson. Born Friday, February 26 at 1:45 pm. Leah had been having labor pains almost all night on Tuesday night only to wake up Wednesday to no more labor pains! Needless to say she was beyond disappointed. Can we say hysterical?

I am sure that all Henry needed to be urged to come into this world was for Brooke, Peej, Benny and Honey to come into town! So, we all descended upon the Gibson household on Thursday afternoon. Peej and Honey actually talked to Henry inside of Leah's belly and said things like, "Come on out, Henry. You're missing all the fun!" and "Hurry up, Henry. We want to see you."

After a dinner of pizza, Brooke, Peej and Benny went to Boss' house and about 1:30 in the morning, Peej got his first upset stomach. In other words, he starting throwing up!
By this time Leah's contractions had started really hurting and by 3:30 Honey, Matt and Leah were at the hospital!

Leah was worried that she would be sent back home but she had dilated to 5 cm! Soooooo,
we stayed.

Pretty soon, the Gibsons, Henry's paternal grandparents, arrived for the big event!
The Gibsons are a family of 9...2 parents and 7 children.
Before long, 3 of the 7 children were also there in the waiting room cheering little Henry along!

When Henry arrived, Brooke, Matt and I all were present for the delivery! It was SO wonderful and exciting! The nurse, the doctor, the mom...were all very happy and cooperative. It was truly a miraculous event as we saw sweet Henry make his way into the world!
