Kate comes to Birmingham

Kate, Donovan and Liz came to visit for the 1st time in 3 years!! LONG overdue visit! We were so excited to have them in our home after visiting them in Canada for the past 3 years! We started our visit by meeting them at Marlin and Jean's house in Marbury. They live in the house where Donovan and Marlin grew up and where Donovan2's grandmother used to live. So, it was great for him to be back in that house. We had a wonderful visit. Liz got to see how much Donovan and Marlin look alike and got to meet Faye, the neighbor that D and M have had since they moved into the house when they were 6 years old!

One of the items on the To Do In Birmingham List was Piccadilly Cafeteria. Granddaddy and Kate used to go there once a week to eat dinner. All of the employees knew Kate and loved her.
As soon as we walked in, the cashier said, "KATE! It is so good to see you!" How great was THAT?

We had a wonderful time during their visit. Donovan 2 got to see many of his friends. We got to spend quality time with Liz and Kate! The only problem was that it went by waaaayyyyy too fast!
