First Brother Meeting

When Brooke unexpectedly went into labor on Monday, April 20 at about 4:00 pm, Peter was across town at a baseball game and in Houston that is probably at Least an hour away. Peej was telling her, "No, mommy, you do not feel bad. You do not have a boo boo." Her contractions were about 5- 7 minutes apart......so she called the next closest relative......our hero and baby of the family, 22 year old David!

David was closer than Peter was to her house and he agreed to pick her up and take her to the hospital! Meanwhile, a wonderful neighbor stopped by to pick up Peej and take him to her house to play!

Brooke got the the hospital at 6:30 and Bennett was born at 10:00 both pm's! She definitely does not take after me, her mother, who had long slow labors! By the way, Peter DID make it to the hospital actually BEFORE Brooke and David. So David did not have to play "Dad/Coach" fortunately!

Peej spent the night with his mentor, Turner, who is 4 and can ride a 2 wheeler! The next morning Peter picked him up and told him that Baby Bennett was born. He wore his Big Brother T Shirt to school the next day so that he could tell everyone that he was indeed a Big Brother! After school, Peter and I (Honey) picked him up from school. He looked so cute in his Big Brother shirt!

On the way to the hospital, Peter told him that he would get to see his baby brother, Bennett.
He said, "Bennett is out?" (of Mommy's tummy) Even though he had already been told, he wanted to make sure that he understood correctly!

When we walked into Mommy's room, Nana was holding Baby Bennett. Peej walked over and looked at him and gave him a kiss and said, "Aaah! Hi Baby Bennett. Do you want to go to Chic Fo-Lay with me?"
We all laughed at that cute remark!
He has been a very loving big brother! I love my Peejers!
